IT Training and Incubation Centers are the addresses for employment of young generation: Palak
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak expressed his optimism that the youth of Digital Bangladesh will create employment opportunities for millions of youth by becoming entrepreneurs through IT training without looking for jobs. He laid the foundation stone of Manikganj "Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center" on Sunday, May 29 at Ghior in Manikganj as part of the establishment of ICT training centers across the country to make this optimism a reality.
Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion at DN High School ground in Ghior district, the state minister said, 'Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center' is a unique gift of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to the people of Manikganj. We hope that the construction of this IT training center will be completed very soon by the Bangladesh Army and we will start operations here in two years. From here, one thousand young people will be able to arrange their employment with training every year. These young people will earn dollars by working in different marketplaces of Europe and America while working in the remote areas of Manikganj. They will make their debut as entrepreneurs.'
Referring to the employment generation of the young generation at the Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center, Manikganj, Palak said the park would make a significant contribution to building Bangladesh from a labor-dependent economy to a knowledge-dependent, advanced economy and a smart Bangladesh. A generation suitable for tackling the fourth industrial revolution will be formed. In the future, our talented young people will export the technology of the fourth industrial revolution by making robotics, IoT, cyber security tools. By receiving training, they will be able to earn foreign currency from anywhere in remote areas or cities.
Palak further said that various projects are being implemented in the country including ICT Adviser to the Hon'ble Prime Minister Sajeeb Wazed Joy's Brain Child Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center, School of Future, Digital Education Center so that the youth of the country can become entrepreneurs and self-reliant.
The youth of Digital Bangladesh will no longer be job seekers but will establish themselves as job creators. There is no need to migrate abroad to earn dollars. This is the benefit of Sheikh Hasina's Digital Bangladesh. Bangladesh is now an emerging economic power in South Asia, so there is no chance to compare Bangladesh with Sri Lanka-Pakistan or any other failed state, added the State Minister for ICT.
Manikganj-1 MP Naimur Rahman Durjoy presided over the function while the Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Managing Director of Diesel Plant Limited Brigadier General Syed Md Rafiqul Islam, Manikganj District Awami League President Advocate Golam Mohiuddin, Deputy Commissioner Abdul. Latif, District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Golam Azad Khan, Ghior Thana Awami League President Abdul Awal Mintu and other concerned officials spoke on the event among others.
In his welcome speech, Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (Grade-1) Dr. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh said the Bangladesh High-Tech Park Authority is setting up Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centers in 64 districts of the country with the aim of creating skilled human resources in the IT sector as per the directions of the Hon'ble Prime Minister. As part of this, the foundation stone was laid in Manikganj today. Apart from Manikganj, Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centers are being set up in 10 more districts - Narayanganj, Bhola, Joypurhat, Kishoreganj, Kushtia, Bandarban, Sirajganj, Chandpur, Dinajpur and Meherpur. The project will be implemented in 11 districts at a cost of about Tk.799 crore under the overall supervision of Bangladesh Army.
Earlier, State Minister laid the foundation stone of Manikganj Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center at Ghior.
A 6-storey Manikganj Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center is being set up at a cost of Tk 85 crore. If it is launched, 1000 thousand youths of Manikganj will get the opportunity of training.
